Happy Mon.. er Tuesday! I've been busy trying to move and set up an actual work space, I'll have pictures after I get it all set up, in the mean time, NEW SHIRT DESIGN! yay! Just in time for a rainy winter. I call this one the Crab King, just cause I have a thing for things grand and mythical.

If you are wondering how I pick designs, they usually come from a doodle of an idea I liked in one of my sketchbooks. I wanted to do another design similar to the Elephant King, this drawing is about 3 inches tall, they always start small.

I then draw it, with ink and brushes, pens, and whatever, maybe even twigs. When I'm done the drawing, it gets scanned and some touch ups and alterations are done. After that, it's off to the studio to get the screen done and to print it.

Happy Wednesday! I'm bringing you a late, late post cause I've been sick on and off for the passed few weeks. So many things have happened, I'm not even sure where to start! Most of December, I was busy moving, checking out craft fairs and prepping for City Of Craft. So this is pretty much the City Of Craft post. First I'd like to thank everyone who came out to support handmade. I forgot my camera on both days so I'll be using the communal photos taken by the talented Celine Kim, most of the photos in this post (all but one, the square one) is by her.

Happy Monday!! It was an eventful weekend, and I've given myself a little time off to look for a new apartment. Past Friday was the opening night for Three Knocks at Narwhal Art Projects/Magic Pony, and as you might be able to tell from the photo, it runs till December 5th. So there is still time for you to go check it out for yourself. There are 3 different artist, but I only got 2 of the 3.

Hey there, Happy Wednesday! A lot has happened since I last posted! I went to NYCC but I was in the forgotten NYAF artist alley... why can't we all just be together?! That aside, due to complications, I didn't have all my stuff. I had a more limited amount than usual. I shared my table with Morico, she had some bags, cute crocheted items and some original art!

The past weekend was CANZINE 2011! It was super fun and it was at a new location! Personally I liked the old venue better. Even though we had our own tables, I was still beside Morico, thanks to everyone who came out!

It is on sale for $100 and a portion will be donated to WWF, the World Wildlife Foundation, not the World Wrestling Federation. Check it out, and while you're there, check out the other pieces. Finally I've been busy preparing for NYAF, which is this weekend. My package of stuff is stuck at customs, and sadly might be sent back. So I've been calling them almost non stop. wish me luck and hopefully all goes well and i'll see you this weekend.

The Renegade Craft Fair, Chicago 2011

Pass weekend was The Renegade Craft Fair, Chicago. This year I finally got to walk around thanks to a friend who came by and helped me out by watching my table for me! The weather was great and there was a good turn out this year. I want to thank everyone who came out and supported handmade.

A friends laptop allow me to make a blog update long with the free wifi on the buses that sometimes and work, and sometimes doesn't. All there is to eat is the fast food from the bus pit stops, im starting to miss salads. With all my buses delayed, I will still somehow make it to Boston. Hopefully The rest of the trip is free of problems, and i soon be meet with a hot shower and a good meal. Happy Monday, here's a sketch of warm pink mountains to warm up your day!

Sometimes it's really slow at work, and i get really, really bored. I cant just pull out my sketch book and draw, I have to look somewhat busy. So i stuck some pieces of masking tape together and started draw on the random shapes.

O M Gee... well it feels like I might have disappeared for a while.. but only on the interweb. Anyways let get on with it, I've been busy running around trying to get stuff done and doing a couple of fairs and events since the last post.

First up, was The Renegade Craft Fair in Chicago. It was my first crafts fair and i was pretty excited. It did rain the first day but it still turned out to be a pretty goo fair :D, thanks for everyone who came out. This was my first craft fair, and it wont be my last.

Last weekend was Fan Expo! Id first like to thank all those who came by, it made my last min trip there worth it. This year it was not in the basement cave room of the convention centre, so the light and mood was a lot better.

A new zine character? It is first a new shirt design. Introducing the stealthy Cat Thief! He is to be printed on a shirt as early as next week, I'll make another post then. Before it was printed on a tee, I printed some posters to be put up around some parts of Toronto, who knows where they ended up.

Well, the past weekend was Otakon! and an eventful one at that. One box i shipped didn't quite make it so some designs were not at the show. So make sure you guys check out 1percenttalent for more shirts. There was also that fire alarm that forced everyone at the convention centre to leave.

Well, I started working in a print shop (nothing glamorous) but it will finance my creative adventures, so my updates will come slower than before. :( But I'll keep pushing!! So what is new? New notebooks are now on sale on my etsy shop. Also a new partnership with a small Montreal art gallery/artshop Monastiraki, They will be carrying my tees as soon as I send them there, which i hope is soon.

Nerdy animal notebooks, there are currently 5 of them, but i hope that there will be more. I also hope to print them on other stuff, we'll seee enjoy these for now.

I was so busying thinking about how I was going to fly to LA for Anime expo this weekend that I forgot to update, so here is a quick update! I usually print on pre-made notebooks, but while cleaning the "studio" I stumbled upon some stacks of paper user for my book making project a while back. So i Decided to make some of my own. They don't look as perfect, but they include more different kinds of paper, and still feature my own art work. Maybe I will try selling these when I make them better. Hand Made Bag

Some more old new, I decided to make my own tote bags just to try it out, I don't have high sewing skills, but i did it anyway. I sold most it the stuff below @ anime north, so until i make new stuff there wont be any more. The fabric used was linen which isn't too cheap, so i will try out newer options. The print i used on it was the elephant king, I was inspired by an Indian Rice bag.

I did my best, they aren't perfectly made and I hope they hold up to everyday use. These Bag were 100% hand printed and hand made. I had some left over fabric, too little to make a bag of so i made these little draw string pouches, with lino stamps of animals with glasses.

the room we were in was away from the main crowd but it was nice and cozy (it got pretty warm after). I decorated the hall the the walls to try to get more people in the lovely room that had large window and lots of natural light. So, here is a project that I brought back to life in light of me signing up for canzine. I redid the cover and gave the pages a new size. This little book measure 5.5x4.25 inchs.
